Indulged in ultimate comfort, loved the well-manicured garden and refreshing pool. The dining room overlooking the lush garden was elegant. A short walk to explore local shops and restaurants.
Oh dear, didn't like the fact that the towels weren't folded into elegant origami swans every morning. How disappointing!

The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the beach with beautiful surroundings and a calming atmosphere. the rooms are clean and well-maintained, with comfortable beds and nice balconies/terraces. the staff provide exceptional service, driving guests wherever and whenever they want and even cooking delicious Sri Lankan dinners.
The breakfast can be average, lacking variety or options.

The rooms were beautifully decorated and the bathrooms were spotlessly clean. the location was great, just a short walk from the noisy main road, making it a peaceful place to stay. the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always willing to assist with any requests or inquiries. the breakfast provided was delicious and there was a wide variety of options to choose from.
That the room was a bit dark and could have benefited from some additional lighting. It was also a bit difficult to find the hotel as there were no signs on the main path and Google Maps showed the wrong location.

Our stay at Villa Tara was worth every penny. The room was spacious, with a stunning balcony overlooking the pool. The staff treated us like royalty, with their kind and helpful service. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the beach but away from the noise of the main road.
Breakfast delights, but it would have been even better with a wider variety of Sri Lankan options.

We recently stayed at a charming oasis in Hikkaduwa for 11 nights. Our family occupied two rooms by the pool, and we were impressed by the tranquility and coziness of the place. Despite the bustling surroundings, the hotel provided a peaceful retreat. The beach and restaurants were conveniently less than a 10-minute walk away, and the pool was just the right size for some family fun. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and impeccably clean. The highlight of our stay was the exceptional service provided by the staff. Sisira, the hotel manager, was particularly helpful in organizing our trips to Yala national park, Kandy, and Dambulla. We are grateful for his reliability and assistance. we highly recommend this hotel for its beautiful surroundings, attentive staff, and convenient location near the beach and restaurants.

We had a fantastic stay at Villa Tara for 5 nights. The staff were incredibly friendly and the airport transfers were seamless. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed and lovely balcony. The pool was the perfect temperature and provided a refreshing escape from the hot days. The short walk to the beach was convenient and they even provided towels for the pool and beach. The option for a late check-out was great and if not available, the hotel had alternative facilities. Additionally, the villa's resident dogs were adorable and welcoming.
Can recommend this hotel.

The decoration at Villa Tara was absolutely charming, with beautiful teak furniture and lovely outdoor spaces. The general areas were very well-maintained and provided a comfortable atmosphere for relaxation. As a senior woman, I appreciated that the hotel was easily accessible, with ramps and handrails in place for easy navigation.
Although the children working there were polite and helpful, I would have loved to see some additional activities or facilities specifically tailored for senior guests.

As longer term business travelers, we absolutely loved our stay at this amazing hotel. The location was perfect, just a short 3-minute walk to the beach and away from any noisy roads. The apartments were beautiful, with new silent air conditioning and good wifi. The spacious balconies with tables and chairs were perfect for relaxing in the evening. The staff was incredibly attentive and provided everything we needed and more. We really appreciated that they let us use their towels for the beach and then exchanged them for fresh ones. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the mind-blowing facilities. The staff, who were super friendly and helpful, made our stay even more jaw-dropping. The breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of options including yummy fruit and perfectly cooked eggs. The rooms were lovely, especially the ones with huge balconies overlooking the stunning pool. The hotel went above and beyond by upgrading our room to a suite, which had a beautifully made entrance/courtyard. They even arranged a reasonable airport pick up and offered tuk-tuk services during our stay. We couldn't get enough of the clean room and balcony, and we loved taking a refreshing dip in the outdoor swimming pool. we highly recommend this place for an amazing stay with exceptional staff and incredible amenities.
